Welcome

Established in 1973, the Welcome is one of the longest established family run chains in Belfast. The chain has won numerous awards including Master Chef in the Good Food Guide and has been Egon Ronay recommended. It is also the only chain to win Best Restaurant and Takeaway 3 years in a row in Ireland.

The Welcome Restaurant on the Stranmillis Road was opened in 1982 by the then Lord Mayor, Councillor Tom Patton. Since then, it has had several 'face-lifts', the most recent in 2000, when it expanded from an 80 seater restaurant to a 120 seater restaurant.
