Welcome

Named after the lady whose home it once was. This restaurant has a Victorian atmosphere. Refreshingly unfashionable, this cosy relaxed bistro with its white linen table cloths and bentwood chairs is usually thronged with local residents.  Right next door to Queen's University, it's particularly packed during Festival season, when its early bird menu makes eating out affordable.

If you go for Sunday Lunch, you can walk off a delicious 3-course menu exploring the nearby Botanic Gardens.

Extremely tasty and prettily presented, diner at Beatrice Kennedy's starts with dishes such as terrine of ham, figs and foie gras with peach chutney.  Roast breast of chicken may come next with gnocchi, Stilton, peas, asparagus and sweet tomatoes.  End on their signature sticky toffee pudding or another hearty dessert.

With all bread, desserts and ice-creams made on the premises enjoy proprietor/chef Jim McCarthy's accomplished cooking of carefully sourced ingredients.

Listed in Georgina Campbell's Jameson Ireland Guide 2004 and the AA Restaurant Guide 2004 Beatrice Kennedy's is an award winning restaurant.
